In 2019 we decided to finally settle down and plan for our retirement. So in late 2020 we found Eastgate Lodge in Pickering and completed the purchase in March 2021.
The building comprises three apartments – a ground floor apartment (our home), and two upper floor apartments, one at the rear (Apartment B) and one at the front (Apartment A). Both upper floor apartments are short-term rentals and any profit so far has been spent modernising the “old lady” aka Eastgate Lodge our beautiful 200 year old home.
